What we collect
When you reserve the book or sign up for the newsletter, we collect the name and email address you enter, along with any preferences you choose, such as your format, whether you want a signed copy, and what updates you want to receive. When you email us, we receive whatever you include in that message.
Our hosting provider also processes limited technical information automatically, such as your IP address and basic request logs, to deliver the site and keep it secure. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand general, aggregated site usage, such as which pages are visited. It is privacy-first and does not use cookies or track you across sites. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
We use your information to send you the updates you asked for, to fulfill your book reservation and send a link to complete your purchase at launch, to respond to your messages, and to operate and improve the site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Who processes it for us
We rely on a few trusted services to run the site. Our email list and messages are handled by EmailOctopus. Our site is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare, which also provides privacy-first, cookieless Web Analytics. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when a page loads. Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy terms.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by emailing us. You can also ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, including California, the European Union, and the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights over your data. To make any request, email [email protected].
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you are subscribed or until you ask us to delete it, after which we remove it within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain it to meet a legal obligation.
Children
This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
